Oil Tank Cleaning.
EPIQ Tank Resuspension Method provides in-situ recovery of oil from crude oil sludges. Oil is recovered inside the tank, reducing external activity. It is an effective and versatile method, with lower overall losses, reduced human intervention inside the tank, and reduced turnaround times.
Nitrogen blanketing is avoided as the tank deck remains floating throughout the resuspension process.
Additives are not required, nor cutter stocks such as diesel oil. The process of recovery isby reabsorption of oil within the sludge in like material, i.e. crude oil, and as a result, there is no impact on downstream use in refinery processing.
Resuspension takes place over several cycles using fresh crude oil as absorbent, and the material is then returned to the existing crude oil pool.
Resuspension achieves recovery +90% of hydrocarbons in the sludge, by separation of oil, water, and sediments.
Recovered oil is dispatched to an adjacent client tank or can be directly dispatched to the export line. Produced water is drained to main water drain line after completing settling period in tank, and sediments
